Slipchain Vehicle Mounted

The Rollerbed Systems slipchain vehicle loading system can load/off load  60,000 lbs of palletized freight in a 53 foot trailer in under 90 seconds. The system is non intrusive and does not reduce the internal carrying capacity of the vehicle.  A more rapid turn around of the vehicle offers much better fleet utilization, the same amount of work can be achieved with fewer vehicles. A major benefit of automated vehicle loading is the reduction in product damage normally caused by manual pallet handling.

The personal safety of the people who would normally be associated with the loading is assured because the slipchain system eliminates the need for fork lift trucks or hand pallet trucks to enter the vehicle. Personal injuries can be eliminated by using the Rollerbed Systems automated  vehicle loading design.  

The pallets are carried on four rows of pneumatically raised rollers that support the full weight of the load and two endless chains to move the pallets in and out of the vehicle. The flat horizontal chain bears up against the underside of the pallets to move them within the vehicle. Control of the operation can be by a hand held push button pendant or can be fully integrated into a PLC controlled warehouse management scheme. The system can be installed by Rollerbed Systems staff or a competent body builder. We deliver the complete kit with full installation instructions to any part of the country and we or our agents can be present for testing. The installation of the Rollerbed System slipchain system does not require any special modification to the trailer before hand, most stock trailers can be converted with minor modification that can be  carried out at the time of system installation.
