Loading/Off-Loading System
Rolaload is a
system for loading and off loading vehicles the easy way. With Rolaload it
is possible to load a complete trailer of pallets, paper reels or sensitive
payloads within
minutes. The unique method of moving the load ensures there is no
possibility of damage to the product or packaging during the process.
The Rolaload Dock
system is a combination of slat conveyor and four traveling skates which
can be powered into and out of a specially equipped trailer. The trailer
reverses to the dock and is coupled to the dock. Four lanes of aluminum channels are
installed as part of the trailer floor; each channel has inflatable
air bags placed underneath riser plates for its full length. Air is drawn
form the dock to inflate the trailer airbags.
With the trailer
properly locked on to the dock an electrical signal is sent to the
controller; the airbags in the trailer are inflated, placing the riser
plate in the up position, the skates on the dock inflate and are powered
into the trailer moving the load smoothly and safely into the trailer. Once
the skates with the load reach the end of their travel, the airbags in the
vehicle are deflated lowering the load onto the trailer floor, the skates
are then withdrawn from under the load.
The actual
loading and off loading sequence is controlled by two
buttons; load or off-load. A PLC controlled electrical system controls the
timing and
sequencing of the movement, airbag inflation and the safety of operation.
Only when all pre-loading parameters are met will the control system allow the
system to operate. The safety of the operator and preservation of the load is of
paramount importance.
